Father,

Thank you Lord for your unfailing love. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your forgiveness. Please remove from our hearts anything that would hind our prayers. Today Lord I ask that You give the stander an added measure of faith. May they know in their hearts that You are working even when they cannot see it with their eyes. Continue to transform them from the inside out into the person You created them to be. Prepare them for the return of their prodigal. Fill their hearts with love, strength, grace, patience, and forgiveness. 

Today may ALL prodigals take 10 giant steps toward home. Bring them to their knees in sorrowful repentance. Give them each a Damascus road experience, revealing Your truth to their hearts and lives. Turn them from darkness to light and from deception to truth. Give them eyes to see Your Glory, ears to hear Your calling, and a heart to receive Your wisdom and guidance. Soften and fill their hearts with favor for their spouse above every other person. Destroy by fire all ungodly soul ties, in the name of Jesus. Tear down every wall that would keep them from You. Transform them from the inside out and may their life be a testimony to Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Remove the chains that bind them and loose the Holy Spirit within them to do a mighty work. Cover them with the blood of Jesus, place a Hedge of Protection upon them, and a Wall of Fire around them. Remove them from the hand of the enemy and draw them into Your presence. Bless their steps home Lord and remove the stumbling blocks that would delay them. Give them LIFE Father. 

Thank you for all the mighty works You are doing in the lives of standers and prodigals. May hope and faith abound today. Restore husbands and wives back to You and one another. Restore love and trust. Heal brokenness. Give back everything the locusts have eaten away and that the enemy has stolen. I give You all of the PRAISE, HONOR, and GLORY. I ask all things in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Lord. Hosanna.  Amen.

A prayer for the other woman

I've been searching and searching for prayers for the OW (other woman) but I can't seem to find anything. The prayers I do find are praying against her but not for her...

While I do believe that we should pray fervently against the Jezebel spirit and its destruction in our prodigal's life and our marriage but if we are truly forgiving as our Father in Heaven has called us to be we need to pray for the broken woman whose also been taken captive by the enemy.

No little girl grows up wanting to ruin marriages or have lust-filled relationships with men whose hearts can never truly belong to them or be so deep in sin they cannot feel the Father's love.

If any of you out there have prayers for the OW, please post.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for being Lord, Savior, Counselor, and Comforter. Thank you for being above all things and before things. Thank you Lord for forgiveness. I give You all the praise, honor and glory. Father, I ask You purge from my heart anything that is unclean. Remove all bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness. I ask You to forgive the other woman in my husband's life. Help me to be forgiving daily and be Your vessel for Your glory Lord.

Father, Forgive her because I don't believe she truly knows what she is doing. Bind the spirit of the Jezebel working in her life and holding her captive. Loose within her Your Holy Spirit. Reveal to her Your truth, love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. Give her eyes to see Your truth, ears to hear Your calling, and a heart to receive Your guidance and instruction. Send Your ministering angels to meet her where she's at. Send godly women to speak Your truth directly to her heart. May Your truth and conviction be sharp, deep, and undeniable. Heal the broken little girl inside of her whose wounds gave the enemy a foothold in her life and heart. Heal her low esteem. Bind up her wounds. Allow her to be vulnerable with You.

Show her that You are who You say You are and that You are GOD. Help her to seek Your affections and not my husband's. Help her to find her identity and worth in You and not in my husband or any other man. Draw her out of the pit of sin and break the chains the enemy binds her with. Set her free Lord. Destroy the sinful strongholds in her life by fire. Hedge up her way Father. Take her into the wilderness and allure her with Your love, remove the names of other lovers from her mouth. Bring her to her knees in sorrowful repentance and full deliverance. Show her You are mighty to save and redeem. Give her a way out of the sin she is in.

May she flee the ungodly relationship she is in and from every temptation the enemy sends her way. Draw her into Your presence Lord and away from my spouse. Allow her to see that her sins do not have to define her. Give her an obedient and teachable spirit. Give her a heart of flesh and allow her to see and feel the pain her sin causes her, those she knows, and those she doesn't know. Give her life Father. Don't allow the enemy to use her any longer but raise her up in Your Glory. May her transformation be a testimony to You and Your faithfulness. Bless her steps home Lord. Bless her steps back into Your loving arms. I give this woman to you Lord: to heal, to save, to transform, and to redeem out of her sin. May no weapons formed against her prosper. I ask all things in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood. Hosanna.

Praise Him in the pit

I would like to start out by giving all PRAISE, HONOR, and GLORY to my Heavenly Father who blessed me with LIFE and pulled me from the pit of sorrows. Not too long ago I was in a very dark place and did not see a way out. The despair was consuming and the defeat crushing but our Lord rescued me. His words of life and comfort saved me from the brink of a very dark path. Hosanna!!!

We need to learn to PRAISE HIM in the pit! I'm currently in Acts but time and again throughout the books God leads me to study in the Bible I see examples of God moving in the darkest of circumstances and when people are praising Him in the pit. Joseph was unjustly thrown into jail but rather than fall apart he trusted God and the Lord was with Him, so much so that pharaoh saw showed Joseph favor. Paul was constantly imprisoned and he praised God from his cell.

God has really allowed me to see that it is NOT about what is happening before us but within us. I can tell you that nothing but my heart has changed this week. From a perspective without God life still blows but my God is same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is MIGHTY TO SAVE, RESTORE, AND REDEEM!!!! That is a blessing in itself. The world can fall away or fall apart or be utterly destroyed before us but our Lord is who He says He is. He is FATHER, SAVIOR, COUNSELOR, PROVIDER, AUTHOR AND PERFECTER, HEALER, COMFORTER, and so much more. He longs for us to know that we know that. He longs for us to give Him our hearts and lives and trust Him completely to care for both. 

So please, even when it doesn't look like there is any reason to praise but every reason to give up, PRAISE the Lord. It may begin as a whisper but I promise God will move in you in mighty ways and it will end up as shout. May Hosanna and Selah be your battle cry in the pit.

Whether we are experiencing the biggest of blessings or the worst of trials the end result should be the same: Praise to our Beloved, Heavenly Father, Savior, Counselor. Every thing should bring us to our knees in Praise. This whole situation came about to get our attention. Does He have yours yet? It doesn't matter whether your prodigal just left, is being cruel, is on their way back, if life is falling apart or falling together. God is still with you. He is still fighting. And the best part is HE IS ALREADY VICTORIOUS. How cool is that?!

Remember this whole standing/restoration thing is bigger than our prodigals coming home. Its about Salvation. God is using this to RECONCILE & RESTORE us, standers and prodigals alike, back to Him; so all glory goes to our Lord. So PRAISE HIM in the pit!!!

Lord, 

Thank you so much for your presence. Thank you for your words. Thank you for blessings and trials. Thank you for the mighty work of reconciliation You are doing in our lives and the lives of our prodigals. Thank you for being so different from this world. Thank you for your beauty and strength. Thank you for my beloved. All praise, honor, and glory goes to You. Amen

small god or Big God

I've been thinking a lot about why people would ever oppose Marriage Restoration. After speaking with a couple people and thinking it through I've reached the conclusion that as a whole the church has lost its faith in God and don't believe He is able to do the impossible. As a whole we've succumbed to the ways of the world. How tragic! It all comes down to whether or not you believe in a small god or a Big God.

We serve a MIGHTY God, who is capable of ALL things. The problem, however, is that we don't believe anymore. Back in the biblical day people used to have so much Faith that touching the hem of His garment healed them of issues no amount of money or doctor could. People lowered themselves down through rooftops just have Jesus lay hands on them. They believed that He was capable of speaking healing into place. God hasn't changed, so why have we?

I find more and more that there aren't more testimonies because people could not surrender to our Lord and endure His tests. We don't trust in His will anymore. We've taken the reigns of our lives and secured our spot in Hell. At this rate there is only going to be standing room. 

How on earth could we ever give up on God, how could be stop believing in a Lord who spoke the heavens and earth into existence. Is it any wonder that the church is as fractured as the world and the divorce rate is higher among believers.

I urge you NOT to give up on God. He never gives up on you. If you have trouble with faith, our Lord is gracious enough to help with that. He bore our sins on the cross and asked the Father to forgive us even as we mocked and spat at Him. And trust me we are still mocking and spitting on Him today with our words and actions yet still He loves and pursues us and speaks to the Father on our behalf.

We truly have traded the beauty and glory of God for ashes. We don't dream dreams or have Faith in a big God. More people, more churches don't believe in or support marriage restoration because it exposes the truth about our hearts and lives. Our words speak God yet our hearts are far from Him. We don't believe in a BIG GOD anymore. We don't believe in miracles. We believe the lies the world tells us about God only desiring us to be happy and life is all about being happy and when you aren't you need to find something that will create that happiness. We believe the lie divorce is okay and marriage is only until we find better. I didn't recite any of that in my vows or read that in the Bible...did you?

Going through the Restoration process has transformed and blessed my life. My eyes are no longer focused on the sins of my prodigal but on my Lord. I'm in awe of His forgiveness and grace, mercy and truth. Our Lord has opened my eyes to His glory and my weakness. Through this process He blessed me with the opportunity to fall in love with my husband all over again. He's shown me true forgiveness which has enabled me to forgive things I never imagined. I now long for the day when my prodigal can forgive me rather than seek to point out any faults or hear an apology for wrongs. This process isn't just about God restoring our marriages but about our Perfect, Loving, Father Restoring His children (us) back to Him. This process while the most painful experience ever, also allows for those miracles no one believes in. It allows God to be GOD and us to find rest and comfort in His arms. Restoration blesses me daily because I get to pray for my beloved and petition God on His behalf. I also have the privilege of praying for others; another blessing. Its a beautiful thing to ask God to bless and heal others, to know and believe He WILL SAVE THEM.

Standing for your marriage is NOT for the faint of heart. You will be hurt repeatedly. The beauty and blessing lie in being able to see God move MIGHTILY in your life and the lives of your loved ones. God does HATE divorce and HE DOES RESTORE MARRIAGES. HE IS STILL A GOD OF MIRACLES. Can you take a stand and believe Him instead of the lies of the world? Can you take a stand against the enemy and tell him with your prayers to our Father, that he doesn't get to have one more of God's precious children? Can you take time out of your day and petition God on behalf of the soul of another? Restoration isn't about living happily ever after, its about our desperate need for SALVATION. 

So if you're Standing, don't waver. Trust God. If you're a prodigal look to Him and He WILL SAVE you. And oh yeah, GO HOME. Love like you've never known awaits you. If you think this is all crap I'll pray for you.

Thank you

We serve an Awesome, Amazing, Powerful God. There aren't enough worthy adjectives to describe Him. The way He pursues His lost sheep is indescribably beautiful. Everyone in this world may abandon you but the Lord NEVER will. He will NEVER give up on you. He truly does rejoice when you come home.

The past couple weeks have been quite difficult, I found myself drowning in sorrow unable to keep my head above water but our Father, our Savior, our Counselor provided. He sent His ministering angels and prayer partners to me. The Lord, Himself, met me right where I was at and gave me His words. I now realize my great need for Him every moment of every day like never before. I need our Lord like I need the air I breath, more so in fact because breathing wouldn't be worth it if it were for the presence of God.

Do not be overwhelmed by this world, He has already overcome it! He gives Life to what's dead.

"For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed we felt that we had received the sentence of death. BUT that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such deadly peril and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will deliver us again." 2 Corinthians 1:8-9

Do not lose heart. Our Lord is working and He will not stop until the battle is won. In fact the battle is already won, it just hasn't manifested before our earthly eyes. God will give LIFE to what's dead in our marriages, spouses, and lives. He is a God of restoration, and reconciliation. He DOES NOT lie. He ALWAYS keeps His promises. He will NEVER leave us or stop pursuing us when we stray. Have Faith and know that you know that He is a God worthy to be served and praised. He will RESTORE what's broken.

Father,
Thank you for mercy. Thank you grace. Thank you for forgiveness. Thank you for hope. Thank you for love. Thank you for the destruction of my marriage and how You have reconciled me back to You. Thank you for getting my attention and turning my heart back to You. Thank you for my husband and how You are working in his life. Thank you that You are restoring our marriage back to one another and back to You. Thank you for allowing me the blessing of falling in love with my husband all over again. Thank you for conviction and forgiveness of my sins. Thank you for providing. Thank you for trials and for giving life. Thank you for speaking to me through Your word. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Father. You are Good, Right, and Perfect. You are so Holy. Thank you for your blessings. Thank you for fighting on my behalf and never giving up. Thank you for not giving up on my marriage or my beloved and for fighting for us. Thank you for Your truth. I love you will all of my heart, all of my mind, and all of my strength. You deserve all praise, all honor and all glory. Hosanna. My life and heart are yours. I surrender everything to You. I trust You Lord. Take care of my beloved. Take care of all standers, prodigals, and hurting people. Thank you. In Jesus's Name. Amen

bearing love...

Sometimes the pain in these situations feels like too much to bear. I completely understand that we need to take up our cross and carry it for Christ's glory but sometimes its like I'm being crushed beneath its weight. It's in these times where my heart feels broken beyond repair that I take very deep breaths and pray and praise. I find rest in the only One who can truly provide it. The cross I carry is filled with my love for my husband and my Father's love is what helps me carry it. 

I know deep down, regardless of the circumstances, that my Father's will is Perfect and He will restore us all back to Him.

I love my husband so much, more than I ever imagined was possible, that's how big our Lord is. He not only allowed me the blessing of falling in love with my husband again during the most painful experience of my life but He grew that love beyond my wildest imagination. I love my husband more today than when we were married and he is still off in the far country. 

I think that's where the pain comes in. I don't just hurt for myself but for him as well. It kills me to see him struggle this way and not know the peace and joy that can only be found in our Lord Jesus. I long for him to stop running away from his problems and into more sin and pray every day he runs right into the Lord's waiting arms. I pray he comes back to my waiting arms.

I miss him so much some days its like I can't breath. It's only by God's grace I make it through each day, that I'm still able to bear any of this, that I find the strength to pray and believe for one more day.

Father in Heaven, 

Thank you so much for my beautiful husband. Thank you for allowing me the chance to fall in love with him all over again. Thank you for how you've changed my heart and forgiven me. Thank you for your strength, love, hope, mercy, grace, and direction. Please speak to my hurting husband and meet him right where he is at. Give him hope and comfort Lord. Show him how mighty You are to save, heal, and redeem. Remove all ungodly soul ties in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood along with any other ungodly obstacle that keeps him from drawing closer to You. Remove all shame, guilt, confusion, and pride and fill my husband with humility, hope, direction, and freedom. Give my husband the eyes to see your glory, the heart to receive your love, the willing spirit to obey your will, and the ears to hear the call you have on his life. Restore my husband back to you Lord. Please bless me with the opportunity to love my husband the way You desire. I give You all the praise, honor, and glory and I ask all things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood. Amen.

Call attention to the Praise not the Problem

Good day Standers,

I don't know about you but sometimes this journey seems like one trial after another. Its painful, exhausting, and at times down right discouraging. But then there's the flip side where Standing for your Marriage shows you the beauty that is our Father in Heaven.

In our hearts grows a love stronger than the day we were married for our spouse; a love that is truly unconditional and covers a multitude of sins. But even more praiseworthy than that is the love that our Lord shows for us, when He called us to pray for our spouse so He could reconcile us back to Him. His love teaches us how to love. Every thing He is about is what we are to strive for. That's huge. So yes standing is hard, it may be the most difficult thing we face in our lifetime but its beautiful and wonderful as well. We are in a place to see and hear from our Father, our Savior, our Counselor and Comfort. He speaks to us daily and we are privy to witness not just the way He moves so miraculously in our lives but the lives of others. It is a blessing beyond a blessing and the Lord deserves all of our PRAISE.

It is time we start calling attention to the Praise worthy things in our lives instead of telling every one we meet about our trials and ever growing field of mountains. It's easy to look at all we have to overcome and then become overwhelmed but look at it from the other side. Jesus overcame the world and then saw fit to continually save us from the enemy's plans and our own stupidity and sin. He rescues us daily. He intervenes daily. Start looking at all the Lord has helped you to overcome in this journey. Praise Him for it. Stop telling others how bad things are and how they are only getting worse and call attention to how God is working, healing, redeeming, transforming, because He is! The enemy wants you to get stuck and pulled down in the quick sand of discouragement and defeat. Don't succumb. Rise as your Father has called you to. Praise Him. Seek Him. When life is AMAZING or when it really sucks a** know our Lord is still completely SOVEREIGN. He is constantly working on our behalf. He will not rest til the battle is won.

Start letting everyone meet your God and not your problems. Share all that you have to Praise Him about and be encouraged by. I know there are days when you feel like there are only trials and tears but trust me, it isn't true. Do not forget that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE for the Lord. He is Victorious. He NEVER fails. Our prodigals are coming home so walk in Faith not fail. Get excited. Tell people about the good God we serve and how He is worthy of all Praise. Call attention to Him and his wonders. Stop putting so much energy into your troubles and start putting it into your PRAYERS and PRAISE.

"If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all." Isaiah 7:9

Our Lord is glorious and is doing mighty things in my life and yours. Take time to meditate on His goodness. Have faith. Call attention to the Praise for our Lord not the problems in our lives. Our prodigals are on their way.

Father,

Thank you so much for all You have done and are continuing to do in our lives. Today may standers and prodigals alike really see You and the movement of Your mighty hand in our lives. May we lose ourselves in Your wonder and not our trials. Thank you Father for working in the hearts of our prodigals and for reconciling us back to You. Thank you for our trials and how they turn our eyes and hearts back to You. Thank you for teaching us what Love is and how Love is displayed. Help us to renew our hearts and minds and walk in faith and victory; knowing the battle is already won. Help us to sow into one another's lives and life each other up. Bless our prodigals' way home and each day may we all realize, standers and prodigals alike, that Your way is the only way and there is no good apart from You. Thank you Father for being above all things. I ask all things in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood.

Where men fail God Prevails

As a stander that there are copious situations that our Lord will use as lessons to teach us different things he needs us learn. One very strong lesson that continues to resonate strongly in my stand is: Where men fail God PREVAILS. We serve a Perfect, Heavenly Father who cannot fail. Our Lord does everything Perfectly. He looks nothing like this world or anyone in it. He never has to lower Himself to reach us but we must rise to Him. His love endures forever. He's perfectly faithful. He's perfectly just, righteous, holy. Our Lord is perfect. It doesn't get any better than that.

In our stand many will fail us, not just our prodigals, but our family, friends, pastors, church, counselors, etc. It is important not to get caught up in how others are failing us but rather to lose ourselves in how our Lord succeeds time and time again. He loves us, redeems us and our situation, and He is faithful. The fact is man is fallible. People will fail us just as much as we will fail them. In marriage restoration there is a lot of room for failure but that is what is so beautiful about the entire situation, God will NEVER fail. Our marriages will be restored and in the process He will be there for us every step of the way. So don't lose heart. Yes people will not always meet our expectations, especially our prodigals, but we need to continue to love them. It is a blessing to love a prodigal. It will teach you far more about yourself, your marriage, and the God you serve that loving a fairy tale spouse. Loving our failing prodigals helps us live out grace and turns our eyes back to our Gracious, Merciful, Father who loved us enough to sacrifice His perfect son for a bunch of failing sinners. God will always prevail where men fail. He loves us and longs for us all to be restored back to Him. He will not stop until that process is complete.

Father,
Lord, thank you for being so different from the world. Thank you for being above all things. Thank you for being perfect. Thank you for never failing. Thank you for your faithfulness, love, grace, mercy, and perfect plan to restore us back to You. Please Give our prodigals life. Open their eyes to their sin and your forgiveness. Prepare the standers for their return and may we all keep our eyes on You and meditate on all that You are. I ask all things in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of His blood.

No Title

Today is a day of deep breathing. I miss my beloved so much and the mountains seem to be growing, but God is bigger. He is mighty to save in any and every situation.

Father,
You know our hurting hearts and  the ache of the standers's souls. Please reach down and provide your heavenly comfort. Give us your wisdom and understanding and peace that passes all understanding. Open our eyes to the direction You desire us to go in. Please provide rest Lord. Thank you for all that that You've been doing in our lives and the lives of our prodigals, whether we see it or not. Thank you for continuing to transform, heal, and redeem all of our situations. Please provide hope this week Father. Heal our prodigals, transform their hearts, bring them to sorrowful repentance and full deliverance and send our prodigals home. We give You all the praise, honor, and glory and all ask all of these in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood. Amen.

Missing him, Praising Him

Hello Fellow Standers,

I'm really missing my prodigal. Some days the ache in my heart is almost unbearable but I know that God is with all of us during those times and all times. We just need to Praise Him a little harder when the pain becomes too much. We also need to fall to our knees and pray for our Beloved prodigal who is trapped in the clutches of the enemy.

It is time to take back EVERYTHING the enemy has stolen from us. Do Not lay down and die. Arise Standers. Pray. Trust God. Praise. When you are weak allow our Father to comfort you. Lean on your fellow standers. We are all in this battle together. So when you hurt, when you miss him, when you cannot bear the pain any longer: PRAISE HIM!!!!

Heavenly Father,
You know the ache in our very souls Lord. Please hear our prayers and dry our tears. Open our eyes to how big You are in the midst of our trials and sorrow. Teach us how to seek You and rely totally upon You. May we find rest and strength in You. Thank you Father for these trials and for working in our lives and the lives of our prodigals. Thank you for continuing to be faithful when we doubt. Please look after our prodigals Lord. Meet them right where they are and transform them from the inside out. Give them LIFE Father. Open their eyes to their sin and may they fall to their knees in sorrowful repentance and then turn to You for full deliverance. I claim restoration on behalf of all of us. Please give standers a sign of hope Lord and fill the hearts of the prodigals with longing for You and their precious spouse. Shield us from the attacks of the enemy. Thank you Father for your sovereignty and love and grace. I ask all things in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood.

Praise Him hard

Hello Fellow Standers,

We serve a MIGHTY God and it is my prayer that we learn to PRAISE our Father in Heaven just as hard during blessings as during trials. In the midst of sorrow and joy we must fall to our knees. Our Lord is sovereign when times are tough and when they are easy so please continue to PRAISE HIM HARD. 

It seems to be the time for many trials and tests and it is our duty to see the blessing in the fallout of it all. Blessing aren't always visible to the naked eye, but when we are close to God our spiritual eyes can more easily see how God is working and Praise Him for all He does.

Heavenly Father, 

THANK YOU. HOSANNA. You are worthy of all praise, honor and glory. Thank you for blessings and trials, for joy and sorrow, for good times and bad. You are God. Your ways are perfect. You are ever so holy. Thank you for they way You are working in our marriages and hearts and how You completely transforming us, prodigals and standers alike. We love You Lord. Please help us to see You in all things. In Jesus' name.

PrAy

Big things are happening right now in the lives of Standers and Prodigals! We need to be on guard and PRAYING without ceasing. We need to Fast and Pray and come together in agreement. God is moving and miracles are taking place.

However, we cannot sit back and watch idly. This a battle. A spiritual battle that must be fought with Faith and prayer. Burdens are heavy. Anxiety are high. The enemy is nervous and working to throw us off our game. DON'T LET him. he sees God moving, prodigals making their way home and their standers continuing to be faithful and he doesn't like it one bit. he will use every tactic possible, seemingly small and large to distract us and wound us but we have THE ONE TRUE GOD on our side! HE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!

                        "Thus says the Lord to you 'DO NOT BE AFRAID AND DO NOT BE DISMAYED AT THIS GREAT HORDE, FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS BUT GOD'S.'"  2 Chronicles 20:15

Whatever you are facing or know that other standers are facing PRAY. Its time for sacrificial, hardcore, unceasing prayer. We need trust God and stay on our spiritual knees. Keep your hearts focused on Him and not what is before you. Do not allow Anything, be it in or out of your home to take your eyes off of the Father and His works. We are in a battle for the salvation of our beloveds' souls.

So please, I urge you, PrAy!!!! More than ever, embrace the burden in your heart, welcome the trial, and trust our Lord. Do not give up. He is working but we need to pray. Its time for sacrificial love and prayer and true faith.

Our marriages are being restored! Our prodigals are coming home. Be ready.

Heavenly Father,
Hear the prayers of the standers on behalf of our prodigals. Today may standers have an added measure of strength and focus to pray and may prodigals have eyes, ears, and hearts that are open only to You Lord. Stop the attacks of the enemy. Prevent our prodigals from taking one step further away from You or us. Hedge up their way and wall them in Lord. May every Wall they hit be You. Today they will know that You are who You say You are. You are God. Mighty are your ways and works. Intervene on our behalf Father. May the Holy Spirit be on fire within us all. In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood return our prodigals. Comfort our hurting hearts and lead us to pray. Bring standers and prodigals alike to our knees for YOUR GLORY. May the restoration of our marriages be a testimony to Your POWER, LOVE, TRUTH, GRACE, & KEPT WORD. You Lord are a God who keeps His word and desires for us to remain one flesh. Reach into the pit Father and deliver us. Thank you for your love, mercy, grace, and truth. Thank you for restoring our hearts and marriages. Thank you for sending our prodigals home. Thank you breaking us up so that You could draw us back together to You. In Jesus's name I pray on behalf of us all.

To stay positive and be honest

I've been feeling very conflicted about maintaining a positive outlook on every post. My best friend was telling me that isn't necessarily very honest given the situation. Every day is not easy or happy when waiting for the return of a prodigal. Many days are filled with trials, discouragement, sorrow, and defeat. Even the easy days are hard. I guess I just didn't want this to be an angry or sad place where despair fills the screen because that is not the God we serve. Our Father is a God of HOPE and kept promises. Yes the trials come and really awful things happen that make us all want to lay down in a pool of our own tears never to get back up again but our Lord is always there to pick us back up. His loving, merciful, strong arms are far-reaching into the pit of despair and He never leaves us there.

So yes there is pain, copious amounts of it and it weighs upon me heavily every day but the God I serve loves me and I want to be sure to reflect not only that love but likewise the truth about His character and how He works in my life and the lives of others. Therefore, I want to be as hopeful as possible with my words.

I love and miss my beloved so much but I know that our Father is working and He will give me another opportunity to love him better.

Burdened

A friend of mine, and fellow Stander, told me the other day how she felt a very heavy burden and had to stay in constant prayer. I've often had that feeling throughout this process. It used to fill me with anxiety but when talking to her things became quite clear. Being burdened is a blessing because the Holy Spirit is urging us to pray for our husband because our Father IS WORKING. Something is happening and He wants our unceasing prayers, our Faith, our sacrifice, our commitment to stand and pray for our Prodigals.

However, not feeling burdened in our spirits does not mean that we should not pray or that God is not working, I just feel the heavy burden means we are at a critical time and our prayers are needed.

So please keep praying. What we can't see with our earthly eyes has no bearing on what is happening in this spiritual battle. Keep the faith. Trust God especially when it looks like nothing good is happening. When you are burdened to pray. PRAY. When there are breakthroughs, which there will be, expect more attacks from the enemy. And pray some more. The enemy attacks when he's winning and losing. he sees God working and he wants our faith in God weakened. Don't be swayed by his tactics. Trust that our Heavenly Father is God of TRUTH. He keeps his promises and He is faithful to His children. 

Our marriages are being restored. Embrace the burden. Pray. Pray. And pray some more.

Love

I love because I was and am LOVED. My husband doesn't understand how I can love him after what's transpired between us. I can love him because HE loved me first. Our Father in Heaven sent his son do die a sinner's death and take the punishment I/we deserved to reconcile us back to Him. That action was out of love. So, because our Father showed me how to love and Christ reinforced that love with His sacrifice I can love my husband. We all sin and fall short but our Father has blessed me with the ability to see my husband as he does, which is beautiful and beloved. 

Standing for a marriage can be so difficult. The world, your family, your friends, even your church will tell you to move on and be happy. Unfortunately, they have forgotten that LOVE covers a multitude of sins. They've forgotten the love our Father displayed for them and no longer know what TRUE LOVE is. How tragic. 

When you are feeling weak praise God because He is able to be your Strength. Trust that He is Good, Right, and Perfect, which is called HOLY. We serve a sovereign Lord who longs for us to surrender to Him completely. He is more than capable of healing our marriages and situations and broken hearts. NOTHING is impossible for our Lord. 

Don't allow a world that has forgotten how to give and receive love to dictate your marriage. Give it to God. Allow Him to redeem Everything.

Getting My Attention

I went to a meeting last night for Marriage Restoration. The idea that my marriage fell apart in order for God to get my attention came up. Sometimes losing my husband feels like a punishment but I know that we serve a loving Father who does not punish but rather disciplines. I'm dedicated to pursuing God and listening to His voice in this time of growth and healing. I choose to trust Him to take care of my husband and restore our broken marriage.

Not of this world

Do Not Conform but be TRANSFORMED

Is your marriage in trouble? Has your spouse left you? Is everyone telling you that divorce is your best and only option? Christ calls us not to be conformed by this world but TRANSFORMED! Do not allow your marriage or love for your spouse to be conformed to the world's standards but surrender to the Father and allow Him to transform and redeem what's been broken. I urge you not to give up when every one is telling you to but instead to pray. Seek God. Allow the Lord complete control over your heart, life, circumstance, marriage, and spouse. Believe. Join my stand. Let's take back our marriages from the world and give them to God.
